i20 Application packet
Generally the application form is stapled with the draft, then comes the Bank statement and affidavit statement, followed by the SOP page, exp and synopsis if any, preceding the Xeroxed copies of your TOEFL and GRE mark sheets, read the university brochure carefully, some university’s like ASU ask for 2 separate packet, and some like IIT strongly says that in your packet there should me only 2 LOR’s. Put all the packets into a huge A3 sized envelope. Prefer to send it by fast courier services like DHL etc. They charge somewhere round 700 for each packet and it’s safe. They deliver the packet in 2 days, and see to it that you send them on Monday and not on Saturday, since it’s a holiday on weekends there. The main advantage of these private courier services is that you can track your packets online by visiting the respective websites.
Check list
- Bachelors degree individual transcripts attested by the concerned university.
- 10,12th class certificates and marks memos (Xerox copies) attested from the principal.
- Bank statement (stating your present bank balance)within the previous six months.
- Affidavit showing that your parents/guardian are sponsoring your studies.
- Letter of Recommendations from your professor’s (preferably 3 )
- Statement of purpose
- Experience/project synopsis if any
- Updated Resume
- GRE / GMAT score cards
- TOEFL score cards
- Passport Size Photographs(Depends on University requirement)
- Cover letter.
